On Monday 29 September the CMS was delighted to welcome our largest ever group of new students:
- thirty-three MA in Medieval Studies students
- seventeen MA in Medieval History
- nine MA in Medieval Literatures
- seventeen MA in Medieval Archaeology
- four MA in the History of Art specializing in Medieval Art and Medievalisms
- eight new PhD in Medieval Studies students (as well as new PhDs in the single disciplines)
For this year, there are one hundred and fifty five postgraduate medievalists at York – a record number!
At the end of the Induction Day, we were all invited to a party at the Stained Glass Centre at St Martin-cum-Gregory on Micklegate (our thanks to Sarah Brown and to Judy Frost!):
